Cascades - a tract in the Maloviski district of the Kirovograd region , a geological natural monument of local importance. Area - 2.5 ha.

Location
The tract is located in the valley of the Buki River (the right tributary of the Wicker Tashlyk), southwest of the village of Zlynka , 10 km from the Kapustino railway station.
Description
Cascades are one of the few places where natural waterfalls spread on the Dnieper Upland and the lowland part of Ukraine as a whole. The natural boundary is an example of typical plain forest-steppe eastern European landscapes of river valleys of the forest-steppe strip, preserved in their natural location.
Geology
In Cascades, there is a place on the surface of a massive block of Lower Proterozoic granites and migmatites - elements of the Ukrainian shield , the oldest tectonic structure of Ukraine. Their formation dates back to about 2 billion years ago. It is believed that in the I millennium BC. e. boulders could fulfill the function of a Scythian sanctuary , since on the walls of flooded caves today it was previously possible to see individual signs.
Flora
From a plant and cenotic point of view, the tract is very diverse. Here preserved vegetative groups of petrophytic , shrubby and meadow steppes. Nine plant species of the tract are listed in the European Red List and the Red Book of Ukraine ; 3 species of rare plants have the status of interstate and 6 - state level of protection, there are numerous regional rare species and formations.
Fauna
In the tract there are many species of rare animals that disappear. 58 representatives of the fauna of the tract are protected by the Berne Convention , 14 are listed in the Red Book of Ukraine.
