Timofei Yuryevich Chaly (born April 7, 1994 ) is a Russian athlete specializing in hurdling 400 meters , the European champion among juniors.

Biography
A pupil of the Krasnoyarsk athletics school , in 2013 he won the European Junior Championships in 400m hurdles [1] and won a ticket to the Moscow World Championship .
At the end of June 2013, he won gold at the Znamensky Brothers Memorial [2] .
At the World Championships he qualified with a score of 49.33 (4th qualification result).
According to the results of 2013, he was recognized as the most progressive athlete in Russia (most fans named him by voting on the Internet, as well as delegates to the reporting conference of the All-Russian Athletics Federation) [3] .
In 2014, he won the Russian Championship, but in the final of the European Championship he lost to his compatriot Denis Kudryavtsev, who became 3. At the European Championship in 2014 he took 4th place, showing a result of 49.15.
Took 10th place at the 2015 World Cup with a personal record of 48.69. In October of that year he became 2nd at the World War Games 2015.
In 2016, he set a number of personal records, and also won the Russian Championship with a score of 48.95 (the best result of the season in the country).
He is a student at the Institute of Non-Ferrous Metals and Materials Science of Siberian Federal University.
