Vysotskaya is a village of the Okhotsk rural settlement of the Myshkinsky district of the Yaroslavl region [1] .
The village stands on the federal highway P104 , a short distance from the right bank of the Volga ( Rybinsk Reservoir ), on the left, southern bank of the Volga tributary not indicated on the map. On the opposite bank of this stream are the villages of Rechnaya (west of the highway) and Sosnowiec (east of the highway). To the east of the village is a vast forest 4–5 km wide from the Volga, after which the Shalimovskoe and Kraskovskoye bogs begin . On the edge of the swamp in the upper reaches of the same stream stands the village of Shalimovo . On the south side, along the highway, the village almost merges with the center of the settlement, the village of Okhotino. To the south-east of the village on the south coast of the same stream are the villages of Kuldychevo and Poziralki [2] .
The village of Vysotskaya is indicated on the plan of the General Land Survey of the Rybinsk district in 1792.
