Biography
In 1951 he graduated from the Kiev Polytechnic of Communications and was drafted into the Soviet Army , where he served from 1952 to 1953.
From December 1953 to July 1956 he worked as a technician at the Kiev radio station and at the same time studied (in absentia) at the Kiev Polytechnic Institute (faculty of radio engineering). In 1956 he was seconded to study at the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute of Communications and graduated in 1959 as a radio communications engineer.
After graduation, he continues to work at the Ultrashort-wave radio station of the Kiev television center, where he went from engineer to head. Since 1972, Valerian Alexandrovich Sidorenko was appointed head of the radio and television broadcasting center. He took part in the installation and configuration of equipment during the construction of the new Republican radio and television broadcasting center on Syrets. In 1973, after the center was commissioned, by the order of the Minister of Communications of the Ukrainian SSR he was appointed its director.
Under the leadership of Valerian Alexandrovich, 19 analog television transmitters, 1 digital television transmitter of the DVB-T standard and 28 radio transmitters were commissioned.
On July 19, 2004, Valerian Alexandrovich left his post and retired.
November 28, 2012 Valerian Alexandrovich died suddenly in Kiev. He was buried at the Berkovetsky cemetery .

- Son - Sidorenko Alexey Valerianovich (born 1959), a leading engineer of radio and television facilities of the Kiev branch of the PPT Concern.
- Son - Sidorenko Yuri Valerianovich (born 1963), shift supervisor of the VHF radio station at the Kiev branch of the PPT Concern.
- Granddaughter - Emelyanova (Sidorenko) Maria Alekseevna (born 1983), designer, works in the journal Contracts.
- Grandson - Sidorenko Kirill Alekseevich (born 1989), a graduate of the Faculty of Electronics of NTUU "KPI".
- Grandson - Sidorenko Konstantin Yurievich (born 1994), a student at the Kiev College of Communications.
