Biography
He graduated from the Siberian Military Gymnasium and the 2nd Military Konstantinovsky School (1876), from where he was released as second lieutenant to the 2nd East Siberian Line Battalion .
Ranks: lieutenant (1877), staff captain (1879), captain (1886), lieutenant colonel (1892), colonel (for distinction, 1897), major general (for distinction, 1908)
He was a clerk for the educational part of the Irkutsk cadet school . Commander of the 11th East Siberian Line Battalion, later deployed to the 16th East Siberian Regiment.
Member of the campaign in China 1900-1901 and the Russo-Japanese War. Commander of the 138th Infantry Bolkhovsky Regiment . Consisted on a secondment to the General Staff . Commander of the 127th Putivl Infantry Regiment (until 30.01.1908).
Commander of the 2nd Brigade of the 35th Infantry Division (1908-1910). Commander of the 1st Brigade of the 35th Infantry Division (from 02.21.1910).
After the outbreak of World War I , he was the commander of the 72nd Infantry Division (07/19/1914-31/31/1915), which took part in the East Prussian operation . Head of the 28th infantry reserve brigade (from 14.09.1915).
