Player Career
He played in the center position. He studied at the University of West Texas , in 1946 he signed a contract with the Chicago Stags team, which performed in the Basketball Association of America (BAA) , the predecessor of the NBA. He later played for the Philadelphia Warriors , Boston Celtics , Providence Steemrollers , Washington Capitals and Baltimore Bullits . In total in the BAA / NBA spent 5 seasons. Once included in the 2nd national team of all the stars of the BAA ( 1947 ). In total, during his career in the NBA he played 303 games, in which he scored 2671 points (an average of 8.8 per game), made 539 rebounds and 438 assists .
Death
Chick Halbert died March 4, 2013 in the town of Copeville ( Washington ) at the age of 94 years [1] .
