Member of the Presidium of the Russian Psychological Society (RPO, Moscow) and Vice-President of the St. Petersburg branch of RPO; President of the European Confederation of Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy (ECPP, Vienna, Austria, 2008-2012); President of the Russian branch of the CPT (2012-2016); Member of the Presidium of the Russian Psychotherapeutic Association and the All-Russian Professional Psychotherapeutic League. Practicing specialist, training analyst and supervisor of the CPT. Chairman of the All-Russian Council for Psychotherapy and Counseling (Moscow). Member of the World Council for Psychotherapy and Counseling (Vienna, Austria). Member of the international organization "Bridge between Eastern and Western Psychiatry" (Rome, Italy), etc.
Over the years, he has been one of the top ten leading psychologists in the country (according to the Psychological Newspaper) [1] , occupies the 8th place in the rating of 100 leading Russian psychotherapists (according to the OSLP Moscow) [3] . Five-time winner and nine-time laureate of the National Psychological Competition "Golden Psyche" [4] .
In 2012, on behalf of the Russian Psychological Society, he was awarded the Certificate of Merit “For the best work in psychological science” (for the monograph “Psychology of War” [5] ).

Organizer and editor-in-chief of the VEIP Publishing House (1993). Scientific editor of a number of books published for the first time in Russian by Z. Freud, A. Freud, C. Horney and others. Chief editor of the 26-volume edition of the complete works of Z. Freud [6] [1] .
Biography
He graduated from the Military Medical Academy (1973), a participant in the Afghan war as a doctor (1986) [1] .
Since 1979 - at the scientific and teaching work. One of the supervisors and developers of computer technologies for psychological and psychiatric examination for the Armed Forces of the USSR and Russia (1982-1993). In 1982-1993, he was one of the supervisors of a number of research programs of the Ministry of Defense of the USSR and Russia devoted to the behavior and activities of people in armed conflict, industrial crises and environmental disasters. Directly participated in the research and liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl accident (1986), the Spitak earthquake (1988), the Ufa railway disaster (1989), etc. Since 2000, he has been retired, military rank is colonel of the medical service [1] .
In 1991, he organized the East European Institute of Psychoanalysis and is its rector to the present [1] .
From 1992 to 1996, he was the head of analytical services and an adviser to the Presidential Administration, deputy The chief editor of the publication of the Administration of the President of the Russian Federation “Russian News”, 1996-2006, was a member of the expert council of the State Duma and the Federation Council of the Russian Federation [1] .
For personal merits in the study of combat psychopathology, he was awarded the Order of the Red Star (1989), and in 2011 - the Order of the Star of Vernadsky .
