Oleg Nikolaevich Favorsky (born January 27, 1929 , Saratov ) is a Soviet and Russian scientist, doctor of technical sciences, a specialist in the field of heat engineering of power plants, academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences (1990) and RAS (1991). The main works are related to studies of thermal and physicochemical processes in gas turbine engines, in ground and space power plants, and to the study of the effects of aviation and energy on atmospheric processes [1] .

Biography
- He graduated from the Moscow Aviation Institute in 1951 [2] .
- From 1951 to 1973, he worked at the Central Institute of Aviation Motors in engineering positions, since 1971 he was First Deputy Director [1] .
- In 1957 he defended the dissertation of a candidate of technical sciences.
- In 1966 he defended his thesis of Doctor of Technical Sciences.
- In 1969 - awarded the title of professor [3] .
- In 1973 - 1987 - Chief Designer and Head of the NGO "Union" .
- December 29, 1981 was elected a corresponding member of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
- In 1987 he returned to the Central Institute of Aviation Motors as a deputy director.
- December 15, 1990 was elected an academician of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
It denies the effect of increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere on the Earth’s climate [4] .
