History
The stadium was built by municipal authorities and opened on August 18, 1935. There is evidence that in 1956 its capacity was 5,000 seats [1] . In addition to the football field and running tracks in 1958, an ice rink and a sports and fitness complex were created on the territory of the complex. The stadium constructively acquired a modern look after the following two stages of restructuring: in 1979, the northern gallery was completed, and in 1983 the main tribune. As of the beginning of 2013, the stadium's capacity was 7,000 seats, 3,000 of which were equipped with individual plastic seats. Artificial heating at the stadium was absent.
Rambergsvallen is the home arena for football clubs Hacken and Lundby. Despite this, the stadium does not belong to any of these teams, and the clubs are forced to rent it from the municipal authorities. The record for stadium attendance during football matches was set on April 10, 2000, during the game between Hacken and Gothenburg . This fight was watched by 8,379 spectators [2] . As a athletic field, the stadium was used mainly by the sports society "Quillet" and various urban schools that rent the stadium for sports days and other events dedicated to physical culture.
In April 2010, the municipality of Gothenburg decided to carry out a large-scale reconstruction of the arena, turning Rambergsvallin into a modern football arena with a capacity of 7000 spectators with artificial turf that meets all the standards set by the Swedish Football Union for teams competing in Allsvenskan [3] . In the process of reconstruction of the stadium infrastructure, all athletics sectors and treadmills should disappear completely. In 2013, the budget of Gothenburg laid 13 million kroons for the restructuring of the stadium [4] .
