Simon Nikolayevich Tsereteli (1858 -?) - Russian priest who voluntarily formed the dignity, deputy of the State Duma of the I convocation from the Tiflis province .

He studied at the Kutaisi Theological College and the Tiflis Theological Seminary. He spent three years among the workers of Chiatura manganese mines. In 1895 he was ordained a priest and appointed to the village of Gomi, but after 4 years he was removed to the state as a “dasist” (from “Mesame-dasi” (third group) - a social democratic organization). In 1905, voluntarily folded dignity. He was in prison. Member of the Russian Social Democratic Labor Party , Menshevik .

On May 27, 1906 he was elected to the State Duma of the first convocation from the general electors of the Tiflis Provincial Electoral Assembly. He was a member of the Social Democratic fraction. He was not a member of the Duma commissions.

On July 10, 1906, in the city of Vyborg, he signed the Vyborg Appeal and was convicted under Art. 129, part 1, paragraphs 51 and 3 of the Criminal Code [1] , sentenced to 3 months in prison and deprived of the right to be elected.

Arrested at the end of June 1907, spent three months in prison in Kutaisi . Sent by stage to Vyatka , where he was again in prison until November 11, after which he was sent to Urzhum district [2] .

The further fate is unknown.
