Club career
Leeds United
Fraser Richardson is a graduate of the Leeds United Football Academy. As part of the first team, he made his debut on November 14, 2002, replacing Gary Kelly in the match against Tel Aviv Hapoel in the 2002/03 UEFA Cup .
In 2003, the defender went on loan twice to Stoke City . On August 26, 2003, Fraser made his English Premier League debut against Southampton (0-0). Following the results of the 2003/04 season, Leeds flew to the Championship , which enabled Richardson to gain a foothold in the main team. On August 7, 2004, in the first game of the season, Fraser in the 72nd minute hit the gate of Derby County , bringing his team a victory (1: 0) [2] . In the 2005 offseason, Sunderland twice sent Richardson's purchase offers, but was rejected both times. Later, the defender extended the contract with the “whites" until August 2008.

On June 16, 2009, after the signing of Northampton Town captain Jason Crowey, Leeds United management announced that Fraser's contract would not be renewed and he would leave the club. At the time of his departure from the team, Richardson was the only Leeds footballer to play in their last season in the Premier League in 2004 and suffered two demotion with the club.
Charlton Athletic
July 9, 2009 Fraser as a free agent moved to Charlton Athletic , concluding a two-year contract [3] . On March 20, 2010, he scored the first goal for the Latex in the game against Gillingham (2: 2). At the end of the season, the defender entered the symbolic League One team, and Charlton made it to the playoffs , where they lost to Swindon . This defeat at the playoff stage was for Richardson the fourth in his career.
Southampton
