Merj-Ayun ( Arabic. قضاء مرجعيون ) - one of the 25 districts of Lebanon , is part of the province of Nabatiya . The administrative center of the district is the city of Merge-Aiun .

Geography
The area is located in southeastern Lebanon and covers an area of 313 km². In the north it borders with the Jezzine region, in the west with the Nabatiya and Tire regions, in the southwest with the Bint-Jubail region , in the northeast with the Hasbaya region, in the southeast with the territory of Israel , as well as with the disputed territory Golan Heights .

Administratively, the district is divided into 26 municipalities [1] .
