The Moscow-Tyumen-Tobolsk ski transition is a ski transition in the USSR , completed in 1936 and dedicated to the 10th Congress of the Lenin Komsomol.
History
10 women athletes of the Moscow Electrical Plant named after Kuybysheva - Semenova Anastasia ( Komsomol ) [1] , Zakharenko Ekaterina, Kashirina Antonina, Konstantinova Valentina, Novichkova Zoya, Pyshkova Klavdiya, Ponomareva Zoya, Kharitonova Tatyana, Khoroshchutina Maria and Dolgoleva Tamara (correspondent of the newspaper Rabochaya Moskva) with commander Spiridonov Georg political instructor Prosin German - made a ski run from Moscow to Tobolsk with a length of 2400 km.
The start took place on January 1 , the finish - February 16 . Duration 46 days, of which 35 days - running.
The average daily speed of skiers was 68.8 km.
Upon arrival in Tobolsk, a rally was held, where participants were welcomed by the chairman of the City Council. The answer was Tamara Dolgoleva. She expressed very well what all the girls felt. Here is approximately her speech: [1]
“Today we are full of happiness and great joy because our word given to the Leninist Komsomol was restrained and won the right to report to the party, beloved Stalin and the whole country, about our successes from the rostrum of the Xth Komsomol Congress. And we give the floor to Comrade Stalin and beloved drug addict, Marshal of the Soviet Union, Comrade Voroshilov, that we will not only be able to conquer space, but, if necessary, we will be able to defeat the enemy. ”
By a decree of the Central Executive Committee of the USSR, all 12 participants in this transition were awarded the Badge of Honor .
