Biography
Born December 24, 1850. Occurred from the nobles of the Tula province . The son of Major General Nikolai Ivanovich and Nadezhda Nikolaevna, nee Lopukhina.
Entered the service on September 1, 1867 by a junior rank in the Nikolaev Cavalry School . He was a sergeant of the 1st platoon . July 12, 1869 produced by the cornet to the horse guards .
In 1872 he was made a lieutenant, in 1875 in the head captain, and in 1877 in the captain. From March 28, 1878 to March 30, 1882 he commanded the Life Squadron . In 1881 he was promoted to colonel. From May 31, 1882 to May 27, 1885 was in charge of the economy. On September 12, 1891, he was appointed commander of the 2nd Leib Dragoon Pskov Her Majesty, Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna .
On June 11, 1896, he was promoted to major general with the appointment of the 15th Cavalry Division as commander of the 1st Brigade , and two months later, on August 11, he was appointed commander of the Cavalry Regiment [1] and on October 3 he assumed command. On the anniversary day of the regiment, January 11, 1899, was granted to His Majesty's retinue .
On May 16, 1900, he was appointed Commander of the 2nd Brigade of the 1st Guards Cavalry Division , with the award of cavalier's uniform. Passed the regiment on July 5th. On April 11, 1902 he was appointed commander of the 1st brigade of the same division. From April 15 to May 3, dispatched to accompany the Persian Shah . From December 28, 1903 he was appointed to consist of the Guards cavalry with enrollment in the lists of the Cavalry Regiment. He died on April 14, 1916 [2] .
