Kari Mette Johansen ( German: Kari Mette Johansen ; born January 11, 1979 , Fredrikstad ) is a Norwegian handball player who played in the left extreme position. Two-time Olympic champion.

Club career
In her youth, she played for the amateur teams “Sheberg” and “Lisleby”, until she joined the “Larvik” team. Since 1998, throughout her career she has been a permanent player of the team, she won 13 titles of the champion of Norway, two Cups of Cup winners and one EHF Champions League Cup. In 2006, she became one of the three best handball players in the world (the first place was taken by German Nadine Krause , the second - compatriot Kari Gro Hammerseng ) [1] . After the 2013/2014 season, she announced her retirement from handball [2] .
Team Career
Kari played 203 games for the Norwegian national team , scoring 493 goals [3] . The debut took place on March 26, 2004 in a match against Spain . Kari Mette has four European championships, a 2011 world championship and two Olympic gold medals: Beijing 2008 and London 2012 [4] .
