Biography
Nikolai Volchkov was born on March 8 ( February 23 ) in 1910 in the village of Losinoostrovsky (now within the precincts of Moscow ).
In 1931 - 1935 - student and actor of the Studio Theater under the direction of A. Diky in Moscow. In early 1936, the studio was closed. In the summer of the same year, A. Dikiy was appointed artistic director of the Leningrad Bolshoi Drama Theater. M. Gorky (now the Bolshoi Drama Theater named after G. A. Tovstonogov ). Most of the former studioists he took with him, among them was N. Volchkov.
After the arrest of A. Diky in August 1937, N. Volchkov with a group of young studio actors went to the capital of the Tajik SSR, Stalinabad (from 1961 - Dushanbe ), where they founded the Russian Drama Theater, in 1940 named after V. Mayakovsky. On the stage of this theater played more than 100 roles from the works of Russian classical, Soviet and Western European drama.

In 1991 he left for Israel . In recent years, he lived with his family in Haifa (?). Died at the age of 93 [1] .
