Jakob Fulsang ( Dat. Jakob Diemer Fuglsang ; born March 22, 1985 in Geneva , Switzerland ) is a Danish mountain biker and professional road bicycle racer , who has been playing for Kazakhstan's Astana Pro Team since 2013. Silver medalist of the 2016 Olympic Games in the group road race. Two-time champion of Denmark in the individual race (2010, 2012). 2007 World Champion among Anders in Cross Country . Danish champion in cross-country marathon.

Career
In 2013, he joined the Astana Pro Team , which included in the shadow of the leaders of Vincenzo Nibali and Fabio Aru for a long time.
In 2016, he was on the podium of two cycling tours of Oman and Giro del Trentino . And he won a silver medal in the group team race at the Olympics in Rio de Janeiro .
The following year, Fulsang won the Criterium Dauphin 2017 in June, but then he began to pursue injuries. In July at the Tour de France, he, along with Italian Fabio Aru, was a co-captain of the Astana Pro Team , but fell, injured his wrist and was forced to leave at the 13th stage of the race [1] . After the Tour de France, Fulsang spoke for the first time in his homeland in Denmark in August in a criterium in the town of Herning . But he fell into the rubble, fell and broke his left collarbone [2] .
The first half of 2018 passed without incident and Jacob was in the top ten in seven races. Twice climbed the podium of the Tour of Switzerland and Vuelta of Valencia .
The year 2019 began with a victory in February as a general in Vuelta Andalusia [3] . Then he captured the red t- shirt of the mountain king on the Vuelta of Murcia [4] . And on March 17, he won the fifth stage of the Tirreno-Adriatico race [5] . And he finished the cycling race the third on the podium behind the Slovenian Primog Roglich and the British Adam Yates [6] . On April 13, he led the gap at the last 6th stage of the Basque Country Tour and helped team leader Ion Isagirre win the race in the overall standings. Himself took third place on the podium, but then the judges suddenly gave this place to the German Emanuel Bukhman , who, due to the fault of the organizers, made a mistake on the track for a few seconds [7] . April 21, took third place in the Dutch race " Amstel Gold Flight " [8] . And three days later he took second place in the Belgian one-day Flush Valon [9] . And on April 28 he won the monumental one-day β Liege - Bastogne - Liege β [10] , which set a record, having been on the podium of all three Ardennes classics in one season. After a month's rest, on June 16, he again won the weekly race in alpine France, Criterium Dofinay 2019 , the team also took 1st place [11] .
