Biography

He was born in 1885 in the village of Trostyanka Region of the Don Army (now Volgograd Region ) in the family of a teacher. In 1912 he graduated from the Ust-Medveditsky real school, entered the mining department of the Don Polytechnic Institute [3] . In 1914 he joined the RSDLP, engaged in advocacy. During the October Revolution, he was elected chairman of the revolutionary committee of Novocherkassk . During the Civil War, he leads the underground in the city. Participates in the I Congress of Don Soviets, where he is elected a member of the CEC of the Don Republic . After he was transferred to Khopersky okrug , where he formed the Cossack revolutionary divisions on the Southern Front of the Civil War as commissar.

After the final establishment of Soviet power , he was sent to Rostov-on-Don as secretary of the Don Committee of the party, engaged in the restoration of agriculture . Then he is sent to the Far East , however, soon recalling his geological formation in the party, they decide to transfer him to the Donbass , where Larin is engaged in the restoration of mines and the creation of ore departments [3] . From 1922 to 1924 he studied at the Communist Academy in Moscow. in 1928 he was appointed chairman of the North Caucasus Regional Control Commission. In November 1932 he was elected chairman of the North Caucasus Regional Executive Committee, and since 1934, in connection with a change in administrative division, he was elected chairman of the Azov-Black Sea Executive Committee. In 1935 he was awarded the Order of Lenin (No. 1819), with the wording β€œfor outstanding achievements in the field of agriculture and for overfulfillment of state plans for agriculture”.

On June 11, 1937, V.F. Larin was arrested as an active participant in the Trotskyist-Zinoviev organization, and was shot on December 19 of the same year. After 19 years, an additional investigation established that the case on charges of Larin V.F. in grave crimes was falsified, and he was shot without a decision of the judicial or non-judicial authorities, the case was dismissed with full rehabilitation.

Memory

One of the streets of Rostov-on-Don is named after Vitaliy Filippovich Larin.
