The saints of the One Church are those saints who were glorified (i.e. canonized ) by the One Christian Church before the Great Schism ( 1054 ). They are revered in both Orthodox and Catholic churches .
Thanks to this, Cyril and Methodius , St. Lyudmila , St. Olga , St. Vladimir , Boris and Gleb , etc. became Catholic saints, and the number of Orthodox saints included Pope Clement I , Gregory the Great and Agafon , the British Alban , Aaron and Julius , the Irish Patrick et al. All apostles and the majority of the Church Fathers also belong to Orthodox Catholic saints.
However, there are saints who died before 1054, but were not included in the list of Saints of the One Church - for example, Prince Yaroslav the Wise , who was canonized by the Ukrainian Orthodox Church [ specify ] only in 2004, and Russian - in 2005.
