Biography
He studied theology and oriental languages in Uppsala and the oriental languages of Paris (here including under the leadership of Sylvestre de Sacy ).
Since 1835 - Professor of Arabic at Uppsala University , since 1844 - Lund University .
Since 1873 - Corresponding Member of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences . [2] .
