Content
History
Opened in 1870 as a station of the Tambov-Saratov railway near the village of Znamenka (now Platonovka), when the first train went along the Kozlov - Umet line [2] . The station with the name Znamenka already existed in the Russian Empire , so it was decided to call the new station the second name of the village, namely Platonovka, in order to avoid confusion in the future when sending freight and mail messages to the station of the same name. [3]
The opening of the railway movement was of great importance for the development of the rural economy.
