Features
To manage their notes, users can use either a web interface built on HTML5 , or an application for a smartphone or tablet . All user generated content is placed in the My Stuff folder. Currently, in addition to notes, you can also specify restaurants, movies, locations, and some other data as a category. In addition, Springpad users can add events, and when using Google Calendar, they can be synchronized. The user can also add information by sending it by mail to a special address created for him when registering for the service.
In addition to the ability to scan QR codes , applications for mobile devices allow you to identify what exactly the user saves, and automatically adds additional data to the new object that may be useful to the user, for example, his location taken from a photograph.
In addition to attaching new notes or images to existing information, users can add alerts and reminders to it, which can then be delivered via email or as a text message. Springpad can also display alerts from its own center based on user preferences.
For added convenience, everything that a user places in Springpad can be tagged. Users can also add the so-called Notebooks ( English "Notebooks" ) for differentiation of separate notes. Each laptop has a section called the Board ( English “Board” ), to which users can attach information to visually display elements. If the user adds a map to the Board, and the elements of this Notepad contain information about the location, they will be reflected on this map.
By default, everything the user adds to Springpad is personal and inaccessible to other users. However, this can be easily reconfigured, the user can open access to any element for everyone or for some or to them on social networks Facebook or Twitter .
The service was closed on June 25, 2014.
