Buffer Park - a park in the city of Pushkin , located at the entrance to Pushkin from the Pulkovo Highway. The park is a field with five ponds, the park area is about 85 hectares. From the east, it is limited by the railway line (more precisely, by garages located along the railway tracks), from the south by Detskoselsky Boulevard, and from the west by the Petersburg Highway . Kuzminskoe cemetery adjoins the park from the north. Nearby (to the southeast) are the Detskoselskaya platform and the Tsarskoselskaya terminal station of the Children's Railway .
It is the youngest park zone in the city: the park was created in the late 1980s - early 1990s . Since 1900, the third path of the Imperial branch of the Tsarskoye Selo Railway (the “Imperial Way”), disassembled after the revolution, passed through the territory of the present Buffer Park, now only the remains of its bridges are preserved. The intensive development of the park began several years ago, when it was declared the territory for the main city event - the annual Tsarskoye Selo carnival. In 2007, three hundred birches were planted here - this is how the grove of the 300th anniversary of Tsarskoye Selo appeared.
