Football Championship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region is an annual football tournament of amateur teams of the Nizhny Novgorod Region held as part of the fourth football division of Russia . The championship was first played in 1924 back in the Nizhny Novgorod province .

Conduct Structure
The championship of the region consists of a league system: Major League (the highest in the hierarchy), First League and Second League, which in turn is divided into equal levels of "East", "South" and "North". The winner of the Premier League has the right to play in the IFS “Volga Region” of the Third Division .
Each year, in October-November, a regional champion plays a match for the Super Cup with the holder of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Cup [1] .
