The village is located a short distance north of the Shashkovo - Tutaev highway between Shashkovo and the village of Alekseevskoye , on the southern edge of a large field enclosed between the Zhydogost and Karanovskaya rivers. A country road about 2 km long crosses the road westward and leads to the village of Pazderinskoye , and southward to the village of Kirova [2] .
The village of Glinina is indicated on the plan of the General Land Survey of Romanovsky County in 1790. After the unification of counties in 1822, Glinino belonged to the Romanovo-Borisoglebsky district [3] .
On January 1, 2007 in the village of Glinino there were 3 permanent residents [4] . A post office located in the village of Shashkovo serves 4 houses in the village of Glinino [5] .
