General Information
The history of women's professional tennis tournaments in Eilat dates back to 2010, when the Israeli National Federation and ITF first held a joint competition on the courts of the local municipal club. The experience was successful and a year later the Israelis were entrusted with holding matches of the regional zone of the Federation Cup here. [1] From year to year, the local team retained its place in the tournament on a sporting basis and the international federation had no reason to change the venue of the tournament. In 2013, due to a change in the calendar of the senior women's protest, the team tournament was shifted in terms of time, creating a gaming week between the Australian Open and Eilat games, local sponsors managed to take advantage of this and redeem from ITF the license of the tournament of their professional series , raising interest in their tournament from many players of the end of the first - the beginning of the second hundred and adding to the February Middle East series.
