Kruzen, Hendry

Hendrick (Hendry) Kruesen (born November 24, 1964 in Almelo , Overijssel ) is a Dutch soccer player and football coach. He played in the position of the left extreme midfielder.

Club career

Kruzen debuted in professional football at only 16 years old as part of Heracles Almelo . After two full seasons with Den Bosch , during which he scored 22 goals, Kruzen signed a contract with the grand championship , PSV . He rarely appeared in the club, however, the team doubled in the 1988/89 season, and Kruzen was leased to his previous team.

Kruzen spent the next five years in neighboring Belgium , representing Kortrijk , Liège and Waregem . After the last flight from the top division, he returned to his native country, joining his first professional club, Heracles, and in January 1996 moved to AZ .

In 2002, after staying in the Dutch first division with the Go Ahead Eagles and two years in amateur football, Krusen retired after 20 professional seasons, having 556 games and 148 goals. Immediately after that, he returned to his first team as an assistant coach, he held this position for 11 years. Since 2013, he has been working as an assistant to Peter Bosch at Vitesse .

International Career

Kruzen made his debut in the Dutch national team on December 16, 1987 at the away match of qualifying for Euro 1988 against the Greek national team , his team won 3-0.

He was taken by coach Rinus Michels to the final stage of the European Championship in Germany , but he did not go on the field, nevertheless, his team won the tournament.
