Life and career

Jeff Garlin was born in Chicago, Illinois, and after graduating from college, he entered the University of Miami , but never finished it. In the meantime, he began his career as a stand-up comedian and in 1994 joined the Chicago troupe The Second City [1] .

Garlin is best known for his role in HBO 's long-running comedy show, Die Your Enthusiasm. Garlin also acted as one of the executive producers of the show and seven times as a result was nominated for an Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series , and also received two awards from the US Producers Guild as the best producer of a comedy series [2] .

Garlin as an actor appeared with cameo roles in several films, such as “ Austin Powers: The Spy Who Seduced Me ” (1999) and “ Scammers: Dick and Jane Have Fun ” (2005). Among his major works outside television, one can single out a role in the 2010 film Bounty Hunter [1] . He also voiced several animated films during his career.

Garlin plays a leading role alongside Wendy Maclendon-Covey in the sitcom of the Goldberg’s ABC channel in 2013 [3] .
