Abdul Hamid Karam (1890-1950, Arabic. عبد الحميد كرامي ) - Lebanese political and religious leader, Prime Minister of Lebanon in 1945 [1] .

Biography
The Karama clan was one of the most famous clans of the Lebanese Sunni Muslims [2] . Natives of this genus traditionally held the post of Mufti Tripoli . Abdul Hamid Karamé also became the Mufti of Tripoli [3] , but was removed from office by the French occupation authorities. He was one of the leaders of the Lebanese independence movement [4] .
In June 1935, Abdul Hamid Karam during the conflict killed another Tripoli native - Abdul Majid Mukaddam, but was acquitted, since the court recognized his actions as self-defense [3] . Karam’s lawyer in this lawsuit was the future president of Lebanon, Bishar al-Khouri [1] [3] .
Abdul Hamid Karamé served as Prime Minister of Lebanon and Minister of Finance of Lebanon from January 10, 1945 to August 20, 1945. His sons, Rashid Karam and Omar Karam , were also Lebanese politicians and repeatedly held the post of Prime Minister of Lebanon [5] .
Abdul Hamid Karame died in 1950.
