Legislative Election in Lebanon (1943)

The parliamentary elections in Lebanon of 1943 were held in anticipation of the declaration of independence of Lebanon in November of that year. The elections were held on August 29, 1943, in some constituencies the second round of elections was held on September 4 [1] . Independent candidates won most seats in parliament. Voter turnout was 50.9% [2] .
