Career

He made his debut in Serie A at age 17 in Verona on May 4, 1958 in a match against Milan. After six seasons of Series B with Verona, he moved to Cagliari in 1964, where he becomes the team’s symbols and captain.

At first he was a midfielder, but then, for reasons of circumstances, Chera became the last defender. In this role, he was also at the 1970 World Cup.

He remained playing the Cagliari until 1973, when he transferred to Cesena. He retired in 1978 at the age of 37. He later worked for several years in various senior positions in the company’s last club, in particular, as a sports director. Collaboration was interrupted in 2000.

November 22, 1969 made his debut in the national team in a match against East Germany.

He played at the World Championship in 1970, where he became a silver medalist.
