Geographical position
The settlement is located in the northern part of the district.

History
On September 29, 1996, according to the results of the referendum, an independent municipality “Kuznechnoye Village” was created.
On January 1, 2006, in accordance with the regional law No. 50-oz of September 1, 2004 “On the Establishment of Borders and the Granting of the Status of a Municipality of the Priozersky Municipal District and Municipal Formations in its Composition” [3] , the Kuznechnoye municipality became part of Priozersky municipal district as Kuznechninskoe urban settlement.
