Story
Homer is injured at work when a pipe suddenly falls on him. In compensation, Mr. Burns gives Homer tickets for a hockey game in the VIP zone. The Simpsons mostly only use the services of the VIP zone. Only Lisa goes down to watch the game. She gives a hint to the Springfield hockey player and, thanks to her help, Isotopes win the match. In gratitude, he gives the girl his signature club. Unfortunately, there were termites in the club that almost bit the whole house. The penitentiary temporarily closes the Simpsons house for quarantine, so the family has to look for a new house. Unfortunately, all the hotels in the city are crowded. The Simpsons also refuse to temporarily live with their friends: Lenny has a glass wall behind which they play basketball, the Comic Book Seller has a collection of alien mockups at home, and only Homer likes the Mo Tavern. But it’s precisely with Mo that they find a way out: Barney tells them about the new reality show “1895”, in which the participants are given a free house, you just have to live in it as if it is now 1895, without all the charms of modern life. The Simpsons agree, the producers, too (they just need an ordinary, "non-television" family). So the Simpsons fall into the 19th century.
At first, the new “old” life does not appeal to the Simpsons: they are forced to wear clothes of those times, they don’t sell what they didn’t have in 1895 in the Apu store, and the only modern appliance in the house is the “confession room” (as in any reality -show). In general, the Simpsons experience all the “charms” of those times, such as a dangerous razor, a steam car and very uncomfortable clothes. But soon Homer changes tactics: since the Simpsons hit the TV, then you need to squeeze everything out of it. Therefore, the family gradually gets used to a new life and ceases to experience inconvenience. This reduces the ratings of the program, because viewers want scandals, not peaceful life, so the producers take extreme measures: first they hook a certain star named Squiggy to the Simpsons, and then completely dump the Simpsons house into a waterfall.
The poor family manages to get out of the stream of water, but now their Victorian life is ruined. The producers absolutely do not care about the suffering of the Simpsons, they only need a rating. Soon, the saddened Simpsons stumble upon a group of savages who, as it turned out, used to be participants in other channel programs, and then they were thrown out. But now retribution is coming: the Simpsons, angered by their fate, with their new friends are attacking their offenders. They smash equipment, beat the film crew and producers, and then fly home on a film helicopter. After all this, Homer cannot come to his senses and does not even watch TV because of his experienced adventures. Therefore, the Simpsons decide to spend less time with the TV, where they control the monotonous talk shows with their arrogant producers.
