Biography
He was born on July 15, 1793 in the estate of his father, in the Khorolsky district of Little Russian province , and was brought up first at home, and then given to the Moscow university noble boarding house , where he graduated from the course in 1811, after which he entered the Guards artillery.
He took part in the Patriotic War ; in 1813, he was in six battles in Prussia, Saxony and other places, in the battle of Leipzig (where he received the Cross of St. George ), under the fortress of Magdeburg , during the siege of Hamburg and in several small battles; was injured several times.
Upon returning from Paris, Rodzianko continued his service until 1824, when, with the rank of guard captain, he retired and settled on his estate in Khorolsky district (at that time already the Poltava province ), where he did housekeeping and held various posts for the elections of the nobility .
Sympathizing with the reforms of Alexander II , he participated in the noble Committee of the Poltava province as its member.
He was married to Maria Ioakimovna Grigorieva, daughter of State Counselor Joachim Grigoriev. His children: Victor, Catherine, Maria.
He died on February 11 ( 23 ), 1872 in his estate in the Poltava province, where he was buried.
