Berdsky earthquake - an earthquake that occurred on March 3 ( March 15 ), 1882 in the territory of the Tomsk province of the Russian Empire near Berdsk . The magnitude of the earthquake was 5.7. The earthquake was felt in many settlements of the Tomsk Province: Berdsk , Tomsk , Salair , Barnaul and others. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Kamenskoye seismic zone, where strong earthquakes with an intensity of up to 7 points often occur, the last of which, magnitude 5.3, occurred on February 15, 1965 near Kamen-on-Ob . Few earthquake certificates have been preserved in the Earthquake Catalog of the Russian Empire in 1890:

| In the same year (1882), on the 4th (16th) of March, at 5 h. 35 min. in the morning, an earthquake in the village of Medvedsky, accompanied by a strong underground roar and lasting 5 minutes; several dilapidated stoves were spoiled and destroyed. At 5 hours 39 minutes there was a strong earthquake in Kolyvan, lasting a minute and coming from the south; the furniture pounded and the dishes rang. At 6 o’clock in the morning in the villages of Berdsky and Kainovoy, in the villages of Metyushi and Talmenki, there was a sharp underground rumble, underground peals were heard, and then a strong earthquake began, so that the walls of the houses cracked. At 6 hours 5 minutes in the morning the earthquake in Barnaul, it lasted about 50 seconds, and was quite strong, especially in the houses located near the Ob. |
