History

The building of the administrative building of the Giaginsky milk factory

The date of foundation of the enterprise is considered to be 1949 : this year one of the huts of the village of Giaginskaya was set aside for acceptance and primary, completely manual processing of milk [2] .

In 1968, 2 lines for the production of oil and a filling machine were purchased, after which the main specialization of the plant was butter .

In 1979-1980, new workshops were built, the oil shop received a new oil production line with a capacity of 1000 kg per hour and a storage room for 100 tons.

In 1983, 10 ton cream separators were installed.

In 1988-1989, a casein production machine [2] was installed with a capacity of 150 kg of evaporated moisture per hour.

In 1992, the plant became an open joint stock company, Sergey Huseynov was elected its general director. In 1996, a complete rejection of the unprofitable casein production took place. Since 1998, technological re-equipment and modernization of production began, the plant began to produce a wide range of soft and semi-hard cheeses [3] , the plant was redesigned into a cheese factory [4] . Cheese suluguni and chechil , previously transported in vats with brine and having a shelf life of up to 36 hours, in vacuum packaging were able to maintain freshness for a month. One of the “know-how” of the Giaginsky plant was the rental of arable land for hay, which the plant then supplies to individual farms in exchange for milk [2] .

In 2003, the daily output of various varieties of Adyghe cheese was increased to 12 tons [5] . After the acquisition of the German packaging line Darfresh in the same year [5], the plant's products became recognizable, the shelf life of cheeses increased from 60 to 80 days. [6] Technical re-equipment and expansion of the sales market allowed the company to increase the volume of its products. In 2010, after the launch of the new Adyghe cheese production workshop, it became possible to increase production to 3,000 tons per year, and in total the Giaginsky factory processed over 46% of dairy raw materials and produced about 50% of all dairy products in Adygea [7] (in 2004, 80% of the procurement of raw materials was carried out in the Krasnodar Territory [2] ). In 2011, about 6 thousand tons of brine cheeses were produced at the Giaginsky plant - almost a third of the total Russian production this year (18.45 thousand tons) [8] . In 2014, the plant produced about 3,500 tons of soft and semi-hard cheeses; up to 3000 tons of oil and spreads; more than 2000 tons of dry whey [9] .

In the laboratories of the enterprise, scientific and experimental work is underway to create new products, improve the nutritional and consumer properties of the already well-known assortment. In 2007, the workshop began drying the whey remaining in the production of cheese. Drying whey has turned the production process into virtually waste-free: dry whey is used in the production of ice cream, pharmaceuticals, bakery and confectionery industries. [ten]

The plant has its own fleet for product delivery. As of 2015, 477 people work at the Giaginsky Dairy Plant; 80% of manual labor is used in production.
