Vitaly Milenin is a pupil of Yelets football. From 1984 to 1992 he played (intermittently) for the Lipetsk Metallurg .

In 1993, he signed a contract with KAMAZ, which entered the Premier League, and played 69 matches in the Russian Championship for 4 seasons. From 1998 to 2002, Milenin played for Spartak (Tambov) , was a full-time executor of standard provisions. The last year of his career he spent in his native "Yelets".

After the end of his playing career, Vitaly Milenin works as a coach for the Metallurg youth sports school (Lipetsk), is the deputy chairman of the Lipetsk City Football Federation and judges matches of amateur teams.
