Saina Shapagatova ( Kazakh. Sayyn Shapagatov , until 2004 - Telman) is a village in the Tupkaragan district of the Mangistau region of Kazakhstan . The administrative center and the only settlement of the rural district of Saina Shapagatova (until 2010, the village was part of the Akshukursky rural district [2] ). It is located near the coast of the Caspian Sea , about 95 km southeast of the city of Fort Shevchenko , the administrative center of the region. The KATO code is 475238100 [3] .

Population
In 1999, the population of the village was 385 people (198 men and 187 women) [4] . According to the 2009 census , 1366 people lived in the village (718 men and 648 women) [4] .
