Tharu (Nepali: थारु) or tharuhati (Nepali: थरुहटी) dialect continuum , terms used in Nepal and India for a separate collection of dialects spoken by the Tharu people in the inner and outer wetlands of Terai in Nepal and in neighboring states Bihar , Uttarakhand , Uttar Pradesh in India. Tharu is similar to Bengali and is the main language of communication in Nepal.

- Buxa ( Buksa, Buksa Tharu ) is spoken in the districts of Bijnor, Garhwal (some), in the tachsils of Kashipur and Kichha (130 villages); in the state of Uttarakhand , southwest of Nainital County from Keneshpur and Ramnagar. Has a Devanagari letter.
- Dangaura ( Chaudary, Chaudhari, Dang, Dangaha, Dangali, Dangauli, Dangaura Tharu, Dangora, Dangura ) is spoken in the Kapilvastu and Rupandehi districts of the Lumbini zone; in Kanchanpur County, Mahakali District, Kaikali District, Network Zone; in the districts of Bank, Bardia, Surkhet of the Bheri zone; in the Dang district of the Rapti zone in Nepal, as well as in Bahraich district; in the tulsil of Tulsipur of Gonda County on the border of the tachsil of Nihasan of Kherie County of Uttar Pradesh State in India.
