Biography
Club career
Ruiz made his professional football debut in the 1958/59 season as part of Osasuna , he was only 18. He started hard by playing 20 matches and scoring 6 goals; Osasuna finished eighth in the championship .
After such a good start, Ruiz was even more impressive, scoring eight goals in 29 games during the 1959/60 season, but he could not prevent the Osasuna from flying out of the elite and decided to change the club.
Ruiz spent some time without a club. He made his debut for Real Madrid in the 1961/62 season, Ruiz took part in 12 matches and scored three goals, also in that season he won La Liga. In the same season, he won the Spanish Cup after defeating Sevilla 2-1. Felix found his game the following season, playing 23 matches and scoring 13 goals, he won the confidence of the team leaders with and won the Spanish League 1962/63 and 1963/64.
Ruiz played fewer matches during the 1964–65 season, scoring 4 goals.
The 1965/66 season did not bring Real Madrid a championship title, the team took second place after their neighbor, Atletico Madrid . Real Madrid conducted a successful campaign in the European Cup 1965/66, defeating Feyenoord (2: 1, 0: 5), Kilmarnock (2: 2, 1: 5), Anderlecht (1: 0, 2 : 4), Internazionale (1: 0, 1: 1) and Partizan was defeated in the final with a score of 2: 1 (Ruiz did not play in the finals).
Ruiz played 20 matches in the 1966/67 season, he won the championship of Spain, scoring 5 goals. In the 1967/68 season, he spent only 3 games and scored 2 goals, that season he won his last championship in Spain, and left the club after this success. His last club was a team from the Spanish Terzer Toluca Santander.
Career in the national team
Spent 4 games for the national team . He scored his only goal on December 10, 1961 at the Yves du Manoir stadium in a match with the French national team (1: 1). He played at Euro 1964 , in which Spain won the European title, but he did not participate in the semifinals and finals.
