Gao Ming ( Chinese р 敏 , pinyin : Gāo Mǐn , September 7, 1970) is a Chinese diving champion, Olympic champion and world champion.

Gao Ming was born in 1970 in Zigong , Sichuan . At the age of 9 she began to practice diving, in 1980 she entered the provincial team, and in 1985 - into the national team.
From 1986 to 1992, Gao Ming occupied the top places of world podiums in diving competitions: in 1986 she won the gold medal of the World Championship, in 1988 the gold Olympic medal, in 1990 - two gold medals of the Goodwill Games and three gold medals of the Asian Games, in 1991 - two gold medals of the World Cup, in 1992 again became the Olympic champion.
At the end of her sports career, Gao Ming left for the United States in 1992, then moved to Canada. In 2005, she returned to China to publish an autobiography.
