Silver medalist of the European Championship , two-time participant in the Olympic Games , winner of the FIBA Euroleague , 8-time champion of Italy .

Biography
Elena Paparazzo is a pupil of the Roman basketball school, from where she began to be involved in the national team of various ages. At the age of 18, she made her debut in the "first" team at the European Championships , where on June 12, 1991, Elena scored her first 2 points in a match with the national team of Yugoslavia . The following year, Paparazzo in the Italian national team performs at the Olympic tournament in Barcelona , where she was the youngest in the team. In 1994, he performs at the World Cup in Australia .
At the end of the world forum, Elena becomes a player in one of the “grandees” of the Italian and European basketball “Pool Comense”. All subsequent triumphs and victories of the club from Como are inextricably linked with Paparazzo. The first season is rightfully considered the most successful in the career of a basketball player: Italian champion and winner of the national cup , victory in the Euroleague . At the end of the season in June 1995 , as part of the national team , Elena won the “silver” medal of the European Championship (21 years after the last prize), and in August of that year she celebrated her victory at the Summer Universiade in Fukuoka (for the first time in the history of Italian basketball) . Member of the Atlanta Olympics .
Over the course of 15 seasons at “Pool Comense”, Elena became the 7-time champion of Italy , the 3-time winner of the Italian Cup , the participant of the 5 “Final Fours” of the FIBA Euroleague , including in the 3 final matches.
On September 25, 2004, a match was held with the French national team , as part of the qualification for the European Championship 2005 , which was the last in the 13-year career of Elena for the national team . After spending 17 minutes on the court, she scored 3 points, made 7 rebounds.
In 2007, Paparazzo leaves Como and until the end of the performance changes 3 Italian teams. The last season (2010/11) Elena spends for the “Beretta Familia” from Schio , with whom she wins the championship and the Italian Cup , plays in the Euroleague . On April 16, 2011, in the semifinal match of the national championship with Umbertide, Elena last went to the basketball court, having played 6 minutes, she scored her last 2 points.
