General Information

The first seeded in the single-player tournament was Sam Querrey (No. 19 in the world at the time); but the American was unable to confirm his status, yielding already at the start. In his absence, the prize came down to the match of the fourth racket of the competition, Lleyton Hewitt and the holder of a special invitation, Nicolas May , where the younger Frenchman proved his advantage in the three sets. For May, this final was the fourth (of all four) title match in the grass competition of the main tour of the association. Last year's champion, John Isner , defended his title and reached the semifinals.

The doubles championship brought together an even line-up due to which quite a few matches ended at the decisive tiebreaker, and Adil Shamasdin , John-Patrick Smith , Ivo Karlovich and Divage Sharan finished the fight in their quarterfinal only after the 36th point was played. In the title match, the second pair of sowing Edouard Roger-Wasslin and Nicolas Mayu met, as well as the unseeded team Tim Smychek / Rain Williams , where the French proved their advantage in the deciding tie-break. Last year's champions - Santiago Gonzalez and Scott Lipsky - defended their title, but lost at the start.
