Huang Qun was born in 1969 in Liuzhou , Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region . In 1980, she took the 3rd place in the exercises on the balance beam at the all-China gymnastics competitions, and in the championship of the next year she became the owner of three gold medals. In 1984, at the Los Angeles Olympics, she won a bronze medal in the team. In 1986, Huang Qun won 2 gold and 2 silver medals at the Asian Games.
