The Italian women's basketball team is the Italian women's national team, representing this country in international basketball competitions right up to now. The governing body of the team is the Italian Basketball Federation.

Content
History
The Italian women's basketball team debuted on the international stage at the first European Basketball Championship in 1938 , where it won gold medals in Rome . The next success of the national team took place in 1974, the team won the bronze medals at the European "home" championship. In 1995 , having lost 66:77 in the European Championship final to the Ukrainian team, Italian basketball players took 2nd place.
In 2019, again selected for the European Championship. The tournament played four matches, including one in the playoffs, two victories were won and two losses. As a result, took the 9th place.
