Metro of Russia

This list shows the current metro systems in Russia : 7 existing metros and 1 operating metro trams (there is also a partially underground city ​​electric train in Zheleznogorsk since 1958). The first metro on the territory of modern Russia was the Moscow Metro , which was started by construction in 1931 and opened in 1935 . In the post-Soviet era, only one metro was opened in Russia ( Kazan , in 2005 ).
