Biography

Nikolay Tyurin was born on November 8, 1923 in the village of Kisloye (now the Krasninsky district of the Smolensk region ). He graduated from the seven-year school, while he studied at the Leningrad Agricultural College. In November 1941, Tyurin was called up to serve in the Workers 'and Peasants' Red Army . He graduated from the Omsk Infantry School. In the battles he was seriously wounded and fired. In February 1944 he returned to the Smolensk region. He was in various economic, Komsomol and party positions. In 1956, Tyurin graduated from the Smolensk Regional Soviet Party School , in 1961 - the Higher Party School under the Central Committee of the CPSU [1] .

Since September 1970, Tyurin worked as the director of the experimental state farm “Rodomanovo”. During his leadership of this state farm, he achieved high productivity of agricultural production, especially the yield of grain crops and flax [1] .

Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of December 17, 1973 for “the great successes achieved in the All-Union socialist competition and the labor prowess shown in fulfilling socialist obligations to increase the production and sale of grain and other agricultural products” Nikolai Tyurin was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Hammer and Sickle Medal [1] .

Actively engaged in social activities. He was elected a delegate to the XXV Congress of the CPSU , a member of the Gagarin District Committee of the CPSU, a deputy of the village and district Soviets of People's Deputies. In November 1978, he retired.

Died December 29, 1990 , buried in the Gagarin city ​​cemetery [1] .
