Miklos Jon Molnar ( Dat. Miklos Jon Molnar ; born April 10, 1970 in Copenhagen , Denmark ) is a former Danish footballer of Hungarian descent who is known for playing for Sevilla , Kansas City Wizard and the Danish national team . Participant in the 1998 World Cup, 2000 European Championships , as well as the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona .

Club career
Molnar was born in Copenhagen and began his career at the youth clubs Buildklyuben 1908 and Fremad. From 1986 to 1988, Miklos scored 4 goals in 8 matches for the Danish youth team . In 1987, he played for the club of the second division of Vidovre , and then for the semi-professional club Frem . He became the top scorer of the first division with 14 goals. Many clubs became interested in the young striker, in particular the English Chelsea , the French Lyon , the Belgian Standard and the local Aarhus .
In January 1990, Molnard transferred to Standard from Liège . In his first season, he scored 11 goals in 26 matches and received a call to the national team . After the change of coach, Miklos was leased to the Swiss Servette . In Switzerland, he became the top scorer in the Super League, scoring 18 goals in 34 matches.
In the summer of 1992, Miklos moved to the French Saint Etienne . He did not get into the game scheme of the coach of the new team, so he soon left the club. In January 1994, Molnar terminated the contract with Saint-Etienne and returned to Denmark , where he signed a contract with Lyngby . He scored 6 goals in 18 matches, but after a quarrel with a team coach he left the club and moved to the German Frankfurt . The team fought for survival in the second Bundesliga and, despite the efforts of Molnar, flew into the regional league at the end of the season. After leaving Frankfurt, Miklos competed successfully in the homeland for Lyngby and Herfölge . In the 1997 season, he became the top scorer in the championship of Denmark .
After the successful season, Molnar signed a contract with the Spanish Sevilla , which performed in Segund . In his first season, he scored 10 goals in 26 meetings and received an invitation to the national team to participate in the 1998 World Cup . In the second season, Miklos did not show a confident game and left the team at the end of the season. During his vacation, Molnar visited his American friend Chris Henderson , who persuaded Miklos to speak at MLS . In 2000, he signed a contract with Kansas City Wizard . In the same year, he won the MLS Cup . After the season ended, Molnar decided to end his career. On October 2, 2011, he got the opportunity to play 20 minutes for his childhood club Buildklyuben 1908 in the second division.
International Career
In September 1990, in a match against the Netherlands national team, Molnar made his debut for the Danish national team . In 1992, Miklos took part in the Summer Olympic Games in Barcelona . On June 8, 1997, in the 1998 World Cup qualifying round match against the national team of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Molnar scored his first goal for the national team [1] . In 1998, he was included in the application for participation in the World Cup in France . Molnar played in the match against South Africa [2] .
In 2000, Molnar took part in the European Championships in Belgium and the Netherlands . At the tournament, he played in a match against the Czech national team [3] .
