The creator of NII EIRIPR LLC, Julia Viktorovna Deneko (born in 1982 ), graduated from the Faculty of Ecology and Geography of Tyumen State University (Tyumen State University) [5] , worked as the chief specialist at the Tyumen State University Technological Park business support center [6] . Together with her father Viktor Yuryevich Ryadinsky, director of the Technopark of Tyumen State University [7] , she was a co-author of several inventions [8] .

The company was founded by her in 2005 [9] , 2 years after graduation [2] . In April 2009, NII EIRIPR was among the first 5 companies that received the status of resident of the business incubator of the West Siberian Innovation Center (Tyumen Technopark) [1] ; her innovative project was called “Use of fiber“ Oil-absorbing Bon ”for the purification of oil-contaminated watercourses” [10] . For the development of the project in 2008, the company for the first time received a grant from the governor of the Tyumen region [9] [11] .

In 2010, NII EIRIPR took part in eliminating the consequences of the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico : it supplied materials and carried out field supervision [2] [12] . In December 2012, the company filed an application for inclusion in the composition of residents of the technopark “ WISTA ”( Berlin ) [13] .

Structure

Information about the head of the company is contradictory. According to some sources, the director is Yulia Viktorovna Deneko [5] , according to others, her father and co-author of inventions Viktor Yuryevich Ryadinsky [14] . Sometimes Yu. V. Deneko is referred to as a development director [15] .

The company has 10 branches in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug [16] . The main training ground of the NII EIRIPR is located near Tyumen in the Upper Bor region [17] . The Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug uses the mobile Dekontamobil oil and gas waste disposal site (Dekontamobil) [11] , which was awarded the National Environmental Prize in 2009 [18] .

Activities

Technology

NII EIRIPR has 6 proprietary technologies and 14 certified materials [16] . At the 2012 New Technologies for Oil Waste Remediation and Contaminated Land Reclamation forum in Moscow , participants were most interested in oil sorption booms , a local flare unit for the use of associated petroleum gas, and the Dekontamobil mobile landfill [19] .

The company's most famous technology is fiber oil sorbing boom. The ideologist of the invention is Peter Ilyich Gvozdyak [12] - doctor of biological sciences, professor at the Institute of Colloid Chemistry and Water Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine ( Kiev ), who came up with a method for biological purification of water from organic compounds using bacteria - destructors (USSR Author's Certificate 1428713 [6] [ 20] ). Employees of the Microbiology Laboratory of the Research Institute of Ecology and the Rational Use of Natural Resources of TSU have patented a consortium of bacteria-destructors Arthrobacter Oxydans-091 and Pseudomonas Putida -36 [6] , however, the patent of the Russian Federation 2275466 was terminated in 2007 [21] . Therefore, some authors — V. Yu. Ryadinsky and Yu. V. Deneko — applied for a new patent in 2010 (RF patent 2431017) [22] .

The essence of the technology is that special fibers saturated with bacteria-destructors are fixed on booms floating in water. Fibers catch oil stains on themselves, and bacteria eat them for several days, while the oil decomposes into water and carbon [2] . Fibrous nozzles do not impede the flow of water , while having the highest absorption surface in the world: 5-10 thousand m² per 1 m³ of the structure. Tests on the Var-Yegan River showed a decrease in the concentration of oil products in the water column by 4 times, and surface film oil - by 43 times [6] .

The project became a finalist of the “ Competition of Russian Innovations -2009” [23] and “ Zvorykinsky Prize -2011” [24] [25] . The technology was applied during the elimination of the consequences of the explosion of the Deepwater Horizon oil platform in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010 . NII EIRIPR worked under a contract with the American company Global Remediation Group [26] . In this case, American bacteria were used, which were removed by scientists from Texas [2] [12] , because of the need for a long time to obtain permission to import microorganisms from the US Environmental Protection Agency [27] .

Global Remediation Group Pyrolysis Plant

As a result of cooperation with the Global Remediation Group, while eliminating the consequences of the accident in the Gulf of Mexico , NII EIRIPR received the exclusive right to distribute American pyrolysis plants in Russia . The plants allow you to process any organic waste at a speed of 115 kg to 8 tons per hour with an efficiency of 99%. At the output, synthetic oil , gas, bio-coal and electricity are formed [2] [27] .

The installation allows you to increase the combustion temperature of associated petroleum gas , due to which most pollutants will burn out inside the gas plume , which means that harmful emissions into the atmosphere become much less (according to the developer, 20-40 times) [28] [29] . In this case, the resulting heat can be removed for use in greenhouses .

The company received a grant from the governor of the Tyumen region to implement its technology [28] ; in October 2011, the head of the Research Institute of Air and Power Engineering received from the chairman of the Futurerussia Skolkovo community, Ivan Burtnik, an offer to apply for inclusion in the composition of the residents of the Skolkovo innovation center ( Moscow region ) [29] , the first successful testing of the installation took place in March 2012 [28] . The company plans to use the technology in its projects by ILF Consulting Engineers ( Munich ) [17] .

Decontamix

The name comes from the words " decontamination " (cleaning) and "mix" (mixing). This material is a type of burolite mixture - the result of processing drill cuttings , used in the construction of roads. V. Yu. Ryadinsky erected on his land in the village. Reshetnikovo Tyumen region so-called. " Elite dugout "From the deontamix, which he called" burlyanka ". A house made of this material is erected in 3-5 days, its thermal insulation is provided both by a layer of soil 1.5 m thick and grass with snow [30] [31] . Burlianka's project received a gold medal in the nomination "Best Exposition" at the exhibition "Landscape Design and Architecture" held in Tyumen on May 15-19, 2013 [32] .

High Viscosity Fluid Pump

It is a joint development with American scientists, was first presented at the exhibition "OilGazTEK-2011" in Tyumen. It is capable of pumping 115 m³ of viscous fluid per hour from a depth of 30 m [33] .

3D-Vision Space

There is so far only in the project. The idea is based on the technology of machine recognition of objects of the Russian company Papillon Systems ( Miass ), a resident of the Plug and Play Tech Center business incubator ( Sunnyvale , California ) in Silicon Valley . NII EIRIPR proposed the use of technology for the recognition of ecologically clean and dirty territories. On the American side, the formalization of environmental technology information is provided by KMT International, Inc ( Fremont , California ) [34] [35] .

Mammoth ski resort

The project of the Mamont ski complex is unique in that it will be completely built from recycled waste. The project allows the utilization of about 4 million tons of industrial and household waste [36] . Mammoth can be listed in the Guinness Book of Records in two categories at once - the largest monument to the mammoth and the largest construction of recycled waste (it will take about 3 million cubic meters of waste). The project includes two ski slopes with a hotel built using eco-house technology, and other facilities [37] . Representatives of the institute presented the project of the complex to members of the Russian Geographical Society at the First Festival of the organization, which was held from October 31 to November 6. The idea to create a construction from recycled waste has interested representatives of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) [38] . The project was also interested in the Tyumen administration [39] .

Volumes

The company processed about 1 million m³ of drilling waste [40] , restored about 1,000 hectares of disturbed and contaminated lands [16] . 80% of orders "Research Institute of EIRIPR" receives from the Tyumen region (including autonomous okrugs ) [2] .

In 2012, the company became a partner of the III International Innovation Forum “ OilGasTEK ” in Tyumen [41] . In December of the same year, Yu. V. Deneko became chairman of the Public Council at Rosprirodnadzor in the Tyumen Region [42] . In July 2013, the Public Council at Rosprirodnadzor in the Tyumen Region received high praise for the work done by the heads of departments of the department of various constituent entities of the Russian Federation [43] .

In June 2013, on the World Environment Day , NII EIRIPR co-organized an environmental art mob in Tyumen, during which workshops were held with children on paper plastics, modeling bird and animal figures from waste paper, creating eco-bags without threads and needles, the reuse of old magazines for making bead jewelry [44] [45] .

Education and propaganda

NII EIRIPR together with the Public Council under the Office of Rosprirodnadzor in the Tyumen Region conducts environmental lessons for schoolchildren. Environmentalists tell students about how, following simple rules, they can make a significant contribution to the conservation of natural resources [46] [47] [48] . At the events (subbotniks), eco-yards are opened for children - a project created with the aim of introducing the Tyumen and guests of the city to environmental issues. At free workshops, children and adults are engaged in creativity - sculpt, draw, cut, glue, have fun, and also learn useful information about nature conservation. The guys give a second life to boxes, paper from a shredder, banks, newspapers, plastic bottles and other materials at hand. From all this, nice and useful little things are obtained - vases, panels, coasters, flowers and much more [49] .

Since 2013, the institute has been an official partner of the Green Russia campaign. In 2013, the event was held in the region of the Tyumen TPP. About 150 people, young and old, gathered to give a debt to nature. Participants collected more than a hundred bags of garbage [50] . In 2014, the action was held on Lake Andreevskoye. About 400 people took part in the cleaning. Activists collected about 25 cubic meters of waste - in order to take out all the filled garbage bags, four dump trucks were needed [51] . In addition, no less large-scale cleanings are arranged annually in the city, in which they take part.

The first eco-festival "Ecology in my hands" was held in Tyumen on June 7. He was visited by more than three thousand people [52] . Throughout the day, workshops from craftsmen were held at the event, a dance event, a flash mob took place, eco-exhibitions worked, and Tyumen manufacturers presented their products. A collection point for used batteries, waste paper and glass was working at the festival [53] . The event ended with a grandiose performance of artists and a concert of the "Podium" group.
