Biography

In 1968 he graduated from the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the University of Belgrade with a degree in civil engineering, roads, airports and railways. For 30 years he worked in various areas of transport infrastructure in the territory of the former Yugoslavia. After the bombing of NATO , he headed the Council for Reconstruction. In 2008, he participated in the presidential elections in Serbia , according to the results of which he won 5.97% of the vote and took fourth place. Since May 8, 2007 - Vice President of the Serbian Parliament.

From July 7, 2008 to March 14, 2011 - Minister of Infrastructure in the Government of Serbia . From March 14, 2011 to July 27, 2012 - Minister of Infrastructure and Energy. From July 27, 2012 to September 3, 2013 - Minister of Transport .

In March 2014, he was elected deputy of the People’s Assembly from the electoral bloc Ivica Dacic. In the Assembly, he heads the Committee on Spatial Planning, Transport, Infrastructure and Telecommunications.

In 2015, he was elected honorary president of the Socialist Party of Serbia.

Personal life

Meets with Serbian singer Ana Bekuta .
